Connecting with the Industries We Support

New Memberships Image

Being part of an industry means more than simply supplying to it.

At Genny Hire, we believe that understanding the industries our customers operate within, keeping up with the challenges they face and building strong relationships across the wider business community all help us provide a better service.

That is why industry membership has always been important to us.

As we continue to develop our presence within the offshore, subsea and decommissioning sectors, we are pleased to have recently become members of Global Underwater Hub and Decom Mission.

They join a growing network of industry organisations and business groups that help us stay connected, informed and involved in the sectors we support.

More Than a Membership Logo

Membership of an industry organisation is about much more than adding another logo to a website.

It provides opportunities to meet people, exchange knowledge, hear about the issues affecting customers and gain a better understanding of where an industry is heading.

For Genny Hire, those conversations are important.

Our customers operate across a diverse range of sectors, often in demanding environments where reliable temporary power is essential. The better we understand their world, the better placed we are to understand what they need from us.

Industry events, networking, market insight and conversations with other members all give our team opportunities to listen and learn, as well as share our own experience.

Growing Our Connections in Offshore and Decommissioning

Our new memberships of Global Underwater Hub and Decom Mission are particularly relevant as Genny Hire develops its work within the offshore, subsea and decommissioning markets.

Global Underwater Hub brings together companies operating across the UK's underwater sectors, creating opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing and industry development.

Decom Mission is focused specifically on late life and decommissioning across the energy industry. Its international membership brings together operators, supply chain businesses and professional services organisations, with opportunities for networking, market insight, knowledge sharing and industry introductions.

For Genny Hire, becoming part of these communities is an important step.

As we expand our support for decommissioning and shutdown projects, we believe it is important not simply to offer our services to the sector, but to become part of it – learning from those already working within it, developing relationships and building our understanding of the opportunities and challenges ahead.

Connected Across the Industries We Serve

Our newest memberships build upon relationships Genny Hire already has with a wide range of industry and business organisations.

These include the Scottish Plant Owners Association (SPOA), Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce, Inverness Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Manufacturers and Suppliers of Power Systems (AMPS), the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), Ringlink Scotland and the Road Haulage Association (RHA).

Each connects us with a different part of the business community – from power generation, plant hire and agriculture to transport and the wider Scottish business network.

Together, they help us stay close to the industries we serve and the businesses operating within them.

Listening, Learning and Building Relationships

As Genny Hire continues to grow, we want to make sure that growth is built on a genuine understanding of our customers and their industries.

For our team, including Lorna Clark and Craig Walker, our latest memberships will create new opportunities to meet people working across the offshore, subsea and decommissioning communities, attend industry events and learn more about the developments shaping these sectors.

We are looking forward to getting involved.

Because good business relationships rarely begin with a generator.

They begin with a conversation.

We look forward to making plenty more of those conversations through our growing industry network.
